FAQS LoveNUL Awards.

Who can enter or nominate?

Nominations can be made by any individual or business.  You may own or work for the business, be a customer or a supplier- as long as you can tell us why they deserve to win an award!

Who can be nominated for an award?

Any business who falls into the nomination categories and are located within Newcastle-under-Lyme BID Boundary area – to include town centre and outer ring road (see map)   Nominations for the LoveNUL Community Champion Award must either be employed by a business located within a Newcastle-under-Lyme business or demonstrate a very definite positive contribution to the city centre. The decision of the judges regarding eligibility will be final.

How do I submit an entry?

Visit lovenulawards.co.uk and click the link to complete the short online nomination form before the cut off date of Sunday 29th September.  Printed copies of the application form are also available on request to be returned to 4 Fogg Street, Newcastle, ST5 2RE.  Please contact hello@nulbid.co.uk for a form.

Can I nominate for more than one category?

You can nominate for as many categories as you like, however, you can only select one category for each business nomination e.g XYZ business could only be nominated for Pub of The Year.  If you are unsure of what category a business would fall under, please choose the category you feel is the best fit.

Can I submit multiple votes?

You can vote for as many categories as you like, however duplicate votes for the same business submitted by the same person will not be considered by the judging panel.

When are nominations/voting open?

Nominations are open from Friday 20th September and must be submitted before deadline of midnight Sunday 29th September.  Public vote will open on Friday 4th October and close midnight Wednesday 16th October.

How can I be sure that information will remain confidential?

The website handling entries is fully GDPR compliant. All contact information submitted will be used only for the purposes of the awards and will not be used to make contact for any other purpose.  You can select when nominating whether you are happy for your nomination to be shared with the relevant business.

How will the winners be decided?

Winners will be voted for via a public vote following the submission of nominations for all awards except the LoveNUL Community Champion award.  Nominees in this category will be shortlisted and decided by the judging panel of the Newcastle-under-Lyme BID Board.

How will the winners be announced?

The winners will be announced at the LoveNUL Awards Evening on Thursday 24th October as well as being published on social media and lovenulawards.co.uk after the event

Who can attend the LoveNUL Awards Awards Evening?

The Awards  will take place on Thursday 24th October and will include drinks reception, buffet, announcement of winners and presentations and entertainment. All shortlisted nominees will receive two free tickets to attend the event. Additional tickets can be purchased at a cost of £10pp.  The event will also be attended by representatives from the award sponsors, Newcastle-under-Lyme BID and the judging panel.
