On September 9th 2020, the Government launched the Local Restrictions Support Grant Scheme for businesses that were required to close due to localised COVID restrictions. On October 22nd, the Chancellor announced further enhancements to the scheme, providing additional support for businesses that were not legally required to close, but were severely impacted by restrictions on socialising.
Guidance was released for Local Authorities on November 3rd and at present, we’re working through this to design Newcastle under Lyme’s grant scheme.
Preparations are underway to ensure that payments can be made swiftly to eligible businesses and updates regarding the scheme will be placed on this page. Any business who has previously applied for a Small Business Grant or Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Grant will be contacted directly where ever possible.
