Newcastle-under-Lyme Markets and Cannonball Records held a Record Fair on The Stones in the historic Newcastle-under-Lyme town centre on Sunday 26 July 2020.
Every one of the 45 stalls was taken by visiting traders from across the United Kingdom selling musical bargains and rarities with everything from Abba to Zappa. The specialist dealers were selling Soul imports, rare Jazz, Rock n Roll, Metal and Classical. All reported great takings and promised to return to our next event.
Hitmix Radio brought their Roadshow to town which created a great atmosphere with positive vibes and safe visitor interaction.
The organisers, Cannonball Records, have decades experience in the collectable vinyl record market. Owner David Hawkins has been a regular guest on BBC Radio with a vinyl record valuation show as well as numerous guest appearances. Dave also writes for publications such as the Daily Telegraph.
Holding many events in the Midlands, Staffordshire and Shropshire it’s the first time it has landed at Newcastle-under-Lyme and was a complete success.
At the return event there’ll be hot food and drinks for sale when you need a break from digging through all the vinyl. The parking on Council-run car parks are free on a Sunday.
We’d love to see more independent traders getting involved by opening on the day to take advantage of the increase in footfall of 30% compared to a normal Sunday and Newcastle-under-Lyme Markets are happy to signpost visitors to you by their popular social media accounts and event listing.
