Newcastle-under-Lyme Business Improvement District (BID) is thrilled to unveil its latest initiative, the Shop Front Improvement Scheme, aimed at enhancing the visual appeal of local businesses and revitalising the High Street.
The Shop Front Improvement Scheme, developed in collaboration with local businesses and stakeholders, aims to support local businesses by offering match funding up to £250 to undertake shop front renovations, ensuring a more appealing and vibrant shopping experience for residents and visitors alike.
Recognising the importance of an attractive town centre, Newcastle-under-Lyme BID has allocated a substantial budget to support the scheme launched in July. Eligible BID levy payer businesses can apply for grants to fund improvements such as exterior painting, signage, lighting, window displays, and more.
By encouraging businesses to invest in their shop fronts, the BID aims to create a cohesive and visually striking streetscape that will attract more shoppers, boost footfall, and ultimately stimulate economic growth. The revitalised shop fronts will contribute to be a thriving and unique shopping experience, reinforcing Newcastle-under-Lyme’s reputation as a desirable destination.
